We have been here a week and we are settling in nicely. Anchorage is spread out, but easy to navigate. Andy's first week of work went well, and we are both meeting folks and starting to make connections in our new home. The hardest part has been living without our stuff. We have an airmattress, 2 barstools, a high chair, a tv, and a portable crib. We bought dishes and silverware, but we have no pots, pans, or baking sheets. We are making do, but its hard. Our airmattress is our bed, couch, table, and desk for now. Maia isn't sleeping well, so we are up 4-5 times a night.
