Disneyland- Part One

We were lucky enough to spend some time in Southern California accompanying Andy on a business trip. We decided to tack on some time at Disneyland to the end of the trip. The vacation package we ended up with included 6 day passes, so Maia and I headed over there one day while Andy was still at his conference. Our friend Meerenai came down from the Bay area and hung out with us one day too. These pictures are from those first two days at the happiest place on Earth!

Its hard to believe, but Maia is 2.  As I type this, she is putting together a shape puzzle and yelling "ta-da" every time she makes a match.  She is hilarious, kind, incredibly active and strong willed.   She is talking in 3 word sentences, and her vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds.  She drinks from a cup pretty well, has given up her pacifier, and is close to being diaper-free.  Her favorite foods are scrambled eggs and Pez.  She would drink milk all day if we let her.

She's 37 inches tall and weighs 31 pounds, putting her above the 95% for height and in the 90% for weight.

Its been a blessing to watch her grow from an infant into a beautiful little girl.  We hope you have a great birthday!

Lots to Report...

We are back in Anchorage.  We have lots of pictures of Christmas, New Years, Southern California, and Disneyland.  The trip was a success, although not without its rough patches.  Right now, we are dealing with the aftermath of busted heating pipes.  Our place is uninhabitable at this point, with industrial fans, de-humidifiers, and antimicrobial agents working around the clock to try and save the carpet and subflooring.  Luckily, we are staying at a friends house (they are out of state for a while).  We will update and post pictures as soon as we can!
